They give us the unconditional love that no one else shall give freely.
They are the heart of our hearts, they are the passions of our soul.
They are friends to us, protectors to us, and simply there when our hearts ache.
They are small, sweet and filled with the bravery of one not so small.
They will stand with us when no one else will, they will listen when no one else seems to hear.
They will love us from the depths of their being. No one shall come to you in harm while they stand with you.
To protect, love and obey this is there purpose so for this we must give them thanks.
Praise to the butterfly dog, praise to the ones who shall never leave us.
Contented are they to stay by our side forever and for always.
While who among us can say that?
So for this we must give thanks.
